RedBASE buoy as a part of RedWave system implements long navigation base. It is made in the form of a plastic cylinder with a length of 600 mm and a diameter of 150 mm with a hydroacoustic antenna on the wire RedGTR are the series of wireless underwater digital communications modems that provide short code messages exchange in a network organized between such devices.

RedBASE has positive buoyancy and a load-carrying lug for attaching an anchor.
