uSpeak

uSpeak microphones are fully encapsulated in a high-quality polyurethane compound. Simple and reliable, with no enclosed air cavities. They withstand any diving and surfacing mode. Connection is via a bronze M2 threaded joint, as in most comparable products. The device is available in two form factors: standard and enlarged.

Purpose

uSpeak is a protected microphone for diving masks. Because it has no enclosed air cavities, it is not affected by depth or by rapid pressure changes during descent and ascent. It can be used as a replacement for DEMSh microphones, OTS HotMic™ and similar products. The design is protected by patent RU 225815.

Versions and specifications

The standard uSpeak measures 31×26×12 mm, weighs 6.5 g and has a sensitivity of 500 µV/Pa. The enlarged uSpeak Max measures 39×37×13 mm, weighs 11.8 g and has a sensitivity of 1000 µV/Pa. Both versions cover a frequency range of 200–6000 Hz, have a resistance of 100 kΩ (this can be changed on customer request) and operate from −20 to +60 °C. The microphone connects with two bronze M2 screws. The housing is available in several colors: for orders of 50 units or more it can be painted any color from the RAL catalog.

Compatibility and range

uSpeak belongs to the auxiliary devices for divers. Alongside it in the range are the uPress underwater button and the Crimea-300 depth and temperature monitoring system. The M2 threaded connection is the same as in most comparable products.
