uSound
uSound is a configurable set of devices for professional sound recording, designed for marine biologists, geologists, oceanographers, as well as underwater sound hobbyists and enthusiasts.
The uSoundBox switching unit provides power for active hydrophones, manual gain control, pluggable AGC, and two line outputs for connecting headphones and a recorder. At the first stage, two types of differential low-noise hydrophones are used for different frequency ranges — disk piezo elements for recording low-frequency signals and cylindrical piezo elements for recording high-frequency signals. The set of hydrophones is planned to be expanded in the future.
